  • PRAISE REPORT: “Hundreds of Pakistanis and Afghans have been lining up in Hamburg, Germany, to be baptized as Christians."

od Dreher summarized several reports that many Muslim refugees have converted to Christianity when they arrived in Europe. Harriet Sherwood at The Guardian reports: “At Trinity church in the Berlin suburb of Steglitz, the congregation has grown from 150 two years ago to almost 700, swollen by Muslim converts, according to Pastor Gottfried Martens. Earlier this year, churches in Berlin and Hamburg reportedly held mass conversions for asylum seekers at municipal swimming pools.”

Similar claims have emerged from Austria: “The Austrian Catholic church logged 300 applications for adult baptism in the first three months of 2016, with the Austrian pastoral institute estimating 70% of those converting are refugees. At Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral in the UK, a weekly Persian service attracts between 100 and 140 people. Nearly all are migrants from Iran, Afghanistan and elsewhere in central Asia.”

According to an account from Nadette De Visser at the Daily Beast, “Hundreds of Pakistanis and Afghans have been lining up at a local swimming pool in Hamburg, Germany, to be baptized as Christians. In the Netherlands and Denmark, as well, many are converting from Islam to Christianity, and the trend appears to be growing. Indeed, converts are filling up some European churches largely forsaken by their old Christian flocks.” De Visser concludes, “judging by reports from different media outlets, it is safe to assume the number runs into the thousands, maybe even tens of thousands who say they want the Gospel.”

The Guardian piece focuses on an Iranian convert, Mohammad Eghtedarian, who has become a curate at Liverpool's Cathedral and is helping refugee converts with their asylum applications as he catechizes them. Eghtedarian's own story is a dramatic one: “His own journey, from the Iranian city of Shiraz to the UK, took him through half a dozen European countries, by truck, train and on foot. Destitute and terrified, he was offered practical and emotional support from Christians along the way. Before being granted asylum, Eghtedarian spent four months in Tinsley House detention centre, near Gatwick airport. ‘Every day was challenging and beautiful. Challenging because I didn’t know if they would deport me; beautiful because I was in the Lord’s hands. I promised the Lord: if you release me, I will serve you.'”

Some converts were already questioning Islam before migrating: Johannes, another Iranian, left Tehran for Vienna. Born into a Muslim family, the 32-year-old—who was previously called Sadegh—began questioning the roots of Islam at university. “I found that the history of Islam was completely different from what we were taught at school. Maybe, I thought, it was a religion that began with violence?” He was beaten for attending Bible studies in Tehran, and jumped at the chance to migrate to Austria when the opportunity opened.

Christians can be gullible about conversions, and there are plenty of reasons for skepticism here. It looks a little too convenient that Muslims become Christians while they await word on their visa applications. De Visser is skeptical, but also points out that conversion comes with costs as well as benefits. A convert could be in serious trouble if he returns to his home country. And conversion doesn't necessarily help a refugee get settled in Europe anyway: “conversion to Christianity can actually damage one’s chances of asylum in the Netherlands.”

These reports encourage the hope that the painful upheaval of recent migration, the crush of refugees in Europe, and the many political, logistical, and other challenges that come with that—that it all may have a silver lining: God is bringing a hardened mission field to the doorstep of the church, and many churches are taking up the challenge.

It's not the first time that “Europe” has been overrun by invaders, and it wouldn't be the first time the conquering invaders were conquered by the gospel. Converted invaders, in fact, were the makers of Europe.

  • Muslim Leader Plans on Turning 5,000 Christian Churches Into Mosques in France

France’s top Muslim official has suggested turning empty or abandoned churches into mosques, saying as many as 5,000 are needed for the country’s Muslim population – the largest in Europe.

“It’s a delicate issue, but why not?” Dalil Boubakeur, rector of the Grand Mosque in Paris and the president of the French Council of Muslim Faith, told Europe 1 radio on Monday.

There are currently about 2,500 mosques in France with another 300 under construction, but the number falls short of what is needed, he said. With roughly 5 million Muslims in France, at least 5,000 mosques are needed, Boubakeur said.

During the interview with French radio he gave an example of the transition of a church into a mosque in Clermont-Ferrand, which was welcomed by the local religious community. The church had been abandoned for more than 30 years and the building was given to the Muslim community in 2012.

“It’s the same God, these are neighboring rites, fraternal, and I think that Muslims and Christians can coexist and live together,” he said.

It’s not the first time the lack of places of worship for millions of Muslims has been brought up in France. In April, Boubakeur called for doubling the number of mosques.

His remarks were welcomed by the Christian community as a “legitimate” demand.

“Muslims should, like Christians and Jews, be able to practice their religion,” Monseigneur Ribadeau-Dumas, spokesperson for the Bishops’ Conference of France, told French radio station Europe 1.

However, this suggestion has been criticized by the far-right National Front party. In April, Florian Philippot, its vice-president, argued France doesn’t need more, because “100 percent of places of radicalization are mosques.”

The party’s leader Marine Le Pen called to stop the construction of new mosques in March.

We must today freeze the construction of new mosques while we verify the origin of their financing,” she said in an interview to France 24.

The question of building closer ties with the Muslim community was discussed at the talks between the French government and about 150 Muslim leaders in Paris on Monday.

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls stressed there was no link between extremism and Islam.

“We must say all of this is not Islam,” he said. “The hate speech, anti-Semitism that hides behind anti-Zionism and hate for Israel… the self-proclaimed imams in our neighborhoods and our prisons who are promoting violence and terrorism…

“Islam still provokes misunderstandings, prejudices, and is rejected by some citizens,” he added. “Yet Islam is here to stay in France. It’s the second largest religious group in our country.”

The first conference between the government and Muslim community leaders comes five months after the Charlie Hebdo and kosher store jihadist attacks in Paris that killed 17 people.

The terrorists responsible for the attacks “belong to a different world than we do,” said Boubakeur, speaking at the conference.

There has been a huge increase in anti-Muslim incidents in France following the Islamist attacks in Paris. A report issued in January by the National Observatory Against Islamophobia said that over the month there has been an 110-percent increase in attacks.

  • Donald Trump Made Huge Announcement To All Christians … He’s The Only One Saying This

Donald Trump isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said. Now the billionaire, television personality and presidential aspirant has a straightforward message for Christians.

“The Christians are being treated horribly because we have nobody to represent the Christians. Believe me, if I run and I win, I will be the greatest representative of the Christians they’ve had in a long time,” Trump said in a recent interview.

In the midst of persecution in the Middle East by Islamic extremists and persecution at home by liberals who would take away the freedoms of religion and expression, Christians need a champion. The other U.S. presidential wannabes have largely failed to address directly the state of Christianity in the world. Trump is filling that void.

“Trump’s ability to cut through the clutter and paint the world in ‘absolutes’ attracts quite a few evangelical voters. Remember, evangelicals hold true to their ‘biblical absolutes,’ so to see a person like Trump let it rip and tell it like it is becomes a somewhat endearing quality to some evangelicals. Trump takes hits for his boldness, and evangelicals take hits from society for their biblical boldness, too,” stated Brody (H/T Shoebat.com).

  • 200,000 Tibetans Including 62 Buddhist Monks Came To Jesus

The Good News about Jesus Christ has spread all over the world and will continue spreading until the end will come “And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:14)

The seed of Christian faith has tremendously grown every year. Most of the Christian converts are from Muslim countries that Jesus has personally encountered through dreams and visions.

Now, we will hear from Tibetans who were Buddhists and monks who accepted Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior.

Handley reports that 62 other Buddhist monks have decided to follow the footsteps of the former Buddhist lama and are now following Christ as well.

And that’s not all. “Just within the last year alone, [church leaders] are estimating that more than 200,000 people have come to Christ as a result of the labours of the Christian community there,” Handley says.

What is causing this avalanche of Christian conversions?

Handley says this is all due to the work of Christian workers who provided hope and healing to the people of Tibet in the aftermath of last year’s devastating quake. “They haven’t seen Buddhists, Hindus, or other religious groups helping in the midst of the rubble. Rather, week after week, it is the followers of Jesus who have proved the test of time, sacrificed their own lives to serve and been the hands and feet of Jesus,” he says.

Asian Access is playing a key role in this spiritual movement by training church leaders with the aim of establishing long-term spiritual growth in the region.

“Asian Access just has the privilege of coming alongside key pastors like the ones that have invested in this Tibetan priest’s life,” Handley says. “We invest deeply, building their capacity so they can reach their communities.”

“God does amazing things when you invest in people and see them grow deeper in Him, grow stronger as leaders, learn how to reproduce other leaders, and then it spreads through church planting efforts in ways that are simply remarkable,” he adds.

Asian Access is now seeking the prayer and financial support of Christians worldwide so that the organization could nurture the spiritual movement in South Asia.

  • NEWS | 80 Muslim Refugees Convert to Christianity and are Baptized

Over 80 Muslim refugees from Iran and Afghanistan have converted to Christianity and been baptized in Hamburg, Germany.

Mohabat News  _  Albert Babajan, the pastor who conducted the mass baptism, said that the converts were dissatisfied with Islam and were looking for something more. “The motive for the change of faith is the same for many: they are disappointed with Islam.”

Shima, one Christian convert who was recently baptized, shared about her conversion:

“I’ve been looking all my life for peace and happiness, but in Islam, I have not found it,” she said. “To be a Christian means happiness to me.”

Another convert, Somaz, said: “In Islam, we always lived in fear. Fear God, fear of sin, fear of punishment. However, Christ is a God of love.”

Babajan conducted the baptism ceremony in Hamburg city park.

Many refugees have converted to Christianity since coming to Germany. Babajan says he is aware that some refugees will convert not out of true conviction, but because Christian converts are generally given added protection since they would face death should they return to their home countries.

In order to determine who the true converts are, Babajan says he asks them how Christ has changed their lives.

“Because the Christian faith changed the way of thinking, the world view. If someone told me that at night he can sleep again or an old enemy could forgive, then I know that in his heart he is a Christian.”

“There are maybe 20 or 30 per cent who really want to hear the gospel. For those who want to have a license, I must face the door… It is very easy, whoever does not believe will not be baptised,” he added./christian headlines

  • Church to drop Bibles over ISIS-controlled areas

A church group in Sweden is planning to drop thousands of  electronic Bibles over parts of Iraq controlled by Islamic State.

“The Bibles are the size of pill boxes and have a display,” said Christian Åkerhielm from the Livets Ord (Word of Life) group in an interview with SVT. “They require no electricity, but work on their own.”

The church said on its website: “Our ambition is to pass on the hope and love that can fit in the Christian gospel to a population living in closed areas where human rights are denied.”

"We start our project in a few weeks and hope to drop thousands of Bibles," it added. The drop will be carried out by another group on Livets Ord’s behalf, who will be using drones to deliver the devices from high altitude.

Founded in 1983, Livets Ord is an evangelical church with similarities to the Pentecostal movement in the US. "Through worship, preaching and mission we get to be a part of sharing the message of Jesus Christ with the world,” its website says. “We get to see God do great things and touch thousands of lives all over the world.”

In the past the church has sent missionaries to countries including Russia, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Israel, and India.

Livets Ord disputed claims that the Bible drop represented an “attack” on Islamic State, saying: “The project has been in the media portrayed as an ‘attack on IS’ or with the terror group as the main target. This is not true.

“Our ambition is to pass on the hope and love that can fit in the Christian gospel to a population living in closed areas where human rights are denied it.

“The project is done in consultation and collaboration with local partners in the area … [and] occurs in parallel with humanitarian efforts, medical team in refugee camps and distributing food and clothing to the needy.”

    require all
Americans to be implanted with a
    Radio Frequency Identification
    (RFID) chip
    in order to access medical
    care.
    The device will be implanted
    on the

    anywhere else?
    (2) Why is it being connected

the Bible says you won't be able
    to buy
or sell without the mark. And
    guess what! The chip is
    connected to your

heart the most is that many
    people in the
church will not make it if Jesus
